About the role
This is a good first role if you want to try it before committing to anything ongoing. The team is early and just wants to learn: how urgent calls get triaged, how quotes turn into booked work, and how replacement decisions get made on the spot. Strong interviews lead to more paid work.
What you will do
- Walk us through emergency intake and how urgent jobs get triaged.
- Walk us through estimating and how a quote turns into booked work.
- Walk us through water heater and fixture replacement decisions.
- Walk us through the software you use, and where it falls short.
About you
- You own or manage a plumbing business
- You have handled estimates and emergency calls yourself
- Three or more years in the trade
- Willing to be recorded on a call
Compensation
This role pays $85/hr, invoiced after each session. You are told the rate before any call and paid for your time whether or not anything else comes of it. Most engagements start with one or two calls (paid interviews), and operators who know their numbers are invited to ongoing paid advisory.
Logistics
- Location: Remote, US. Calls happen over video.
- Time commitment: 1 to 2 calls to start, on a schedule that works for you.
- Recording only happens with your consent, and your company details stay confidential.
